<span style='font-family:"Avenir Next", serif; font-size:16px;'>Traffic data from the Roadway Information System (RIS) database. Traffic data is collected from traffic counters set on the roadway. Results are factored for the time of year (season) and axle corrected to calculate the Annual Average Daily Traffic and the Annual Average Truck Traffic from the highway segment. Highway segments are determined by major road intersections. The field Adt01 contains the most current traffic data available from 2021; the fields Adt02-Adt10 contain traffic data from the nine years prior to the current year. Projected traffic is contained in the fields named Adt20YrPro, Adt25YrPro, Adt30YrPro, and Adt35YrPro. Traffic count data is stored in the RIS Traffic file and updated annually by the South Dakota Department of Transportation, Office of Inventory Management and Research.</span> |
